Draft JSON melody schema

Schema (draft)

• version — integer schema version (start at 1)
• a4Hz — optional reference A4 in Hz (default 440)
• notes — array of note objects:
  • midi — MIDI note number 0–127
  • startMs — note start in ms from song start (≥ 0)
  • durationMs — note length in ms (> 0)

One lead-vocal melody line per song for initial scoring and correction. LRC lyric timing files are not assumed to contain note-level pitch data.

Validation rules (draft)

• notes not empty
• midi between 0–127
• startMs ≥ 0, durationMs > 0
• prefer non-overlapping notes for v1
• notes ordered by startMs ascending

File-size expectations (draft)

• UTF-8 JSON text file per song
• Practical target under about 100 KB for a typical full-length song melody
• Hard upper bound for Alpha test assets: 1 MB per melody file
